Parley for the Oceans is the global environmental organization and network where creators, thinkers and leaders come together to raise awareness for the beauty and fragility of the oceans and collaborate on projects that can end their destruction. Working across the creative communities, brands, governments and environmental groups, we take action to protect the oceans, Earth’s largest and most vital ecosystem, with an approach led by creativity, collaboration and eco-innovation.
Our mission is to rapidly transform human-made materials and systems to work in harmony with the ecosystem of nature, and to inspire and empower more impactful participation in the environmental cause. With initiatives combining science, art, fashion, design, technology, finance, entertainment, sport, space and ocean exploration, we address today’s biggest ocean threats, challenge the status quo and invite everyone to own their role in the solutions. The only way forward is together — and there is no greater unifier than the life force that connects us all: the oceans.

A global fundraising initiative to protect oceans, climate and life against plastic pollution, climate change and biodiversity loss
art basel and parley for the oceans are teaming up and calling for support to address the devastating impacts of climate change, plastic pollution and biodiversity loss on marine ecosystems and coastal communities. with the backing of renowned artists, galleries and institutions, we aim to make a lasting difference by spreading awareness about the oceans, raising funds for the cause and enabling innovative artistic ideas.

Harnessing the combined power of art, environmental activism and eco-innovation, this fundraising initiative will inspire long term change, protect the oceans and address the devastating impacts of climate change, plastic pollution and biodiversity loss.
Art for the Oceans will see Parley’s Global Cleanup Network remove 1 pound of plastic for every $1 donated through the program. The initiative will also support education and ocean programs designed to support Parley’s mission of transforming harmful and toxic materials, products and systems to create a better future where clean and healthy oceans connect us all.
